Questions and Answers

I have tried all kinds of orthotics, but nothing has helped alleviate the pain. How are Stand Strong® foot supports different?

Unlike traditional orthotics, Stand Strong® foot supports are designed to do more than just temporarily cushion your feet. Rather than being inserted into your shoe, the podiatrist-designed Stand Strong® Foot Supports stick to your feet, supporting the three arches of each foot for proper alignment and all-day comfort. By combining balance, support and cushioning, Stand Strong® may help to correct a variety of foot conditions that traditional orthotics cannot. Made from a proprietary gel compound, Stand Strong® foot supports keep up with your lifestyle - just peel, stick and wear for all day support and comfort in any shoe.

What kind of foot problems can Stand Strong® help correct?

The patented Stand Strong® Alignment Technology (SSAT)™ is designed to balance the foot across the supported arch, and many of our customers have found an improvement in conditions such as flat feet, pronation and supination, as well as relief from pressure points and the painful effects of plantar fasciitis, sesamoiditis, metatarsalgia and Morton's neuroma, to name a few. However, the effectiveness of the Stand Strong Arch may vary depending on individual needs and use. Please consult a healthcare professional for personalised advice.

Do they work for all shoes?

With Stand Strong®, you no longer have to fumble with clumsy and limiting orthotics or attempt to fit them in every pair of shoes you wear throughout the day. Go from house slippers to office pumps to running shoes to sexy stilettos without missing a beat.

Do I wear them all the time?

When first usingStand Strong®, we recommend wearing them for a few hours at a time until your feet adjust. Wearing them for long periods may feel uncomfortable at first, but eventuallyStand Strong®foot supports train your feet into proper alignment for all support and comfort.

What if I experience discomfort while wearing Stand Strong®?

Finding the 'sweet spot' is key when applying your arch support insoles. Some initial discomfort is normal, but if it persists, adjust the placement slightly to relieve pressure. Sometimes moving the foot support a few millimetres away from the painful area makes a big difference! The distal end (metatarsal) area of the foot support should be centered just behind the maximum convexity of the bulge, below the ball of the foot. However, that "center" varies slightly from person to person.

Will they damage my shoes?

The soft fabric side ofStand Strong®foot supports makes them safe to wear in any shoe without risk of damage.

Will they work if feet are overly sweaty or wet?

While the proprietary gel compound should stick to the foot with normal perspiration without slippage, anyone with excessive foot sweating might experience loss of adhesiveness. Stand Strong® works best when applied to clean, dry soles of the feet.

What is the best way to clean my foot supports?

It is important to clean your footrests after each use with a small dab of our specially formulated Stand Clean™ Daily Wash, lukewarm water and our gentle cleaning sponge. Once they feel slippery, leave them to dry sticky side up on a clean surface. Once dry, the stickiness will return and they're ready to use. DO NOT use alcohol or solvent based products to clean your footrests as this will damage the proprietary gel compound adhesive.

What is the best way to store them?

Place the sticky side of each clean and dry foot support against the provided plastic insert. DO NOT PLACE STICKY SIDES TOGETHER AS THEY MAY PERMANENTLY BOND TO EACH OTHER. To maximize effectiveness, make sure your Stand Strong® foot supports are free of pet hair, dust and dirt before affixing the adhesive side onto your foot.

What can I do if they slip out of place?

First ensure that upon application your feet are clean and dry.  If that does not solve the problem, we recommend purchasing a Tincture of Benzoin.  This product may be purchased at most pharmacies.  We hope to be adding a product such as this to our site soon.
